Job Title: Sales and Applications Engineer







Description of Position



• Familiar with engineering design software for use in the design of electrical machines, magnets, and various scientific applications (OPERA) and of RF and microwave applications (CONCERTO).

• Responsible for providing pre- and post-sales technical support within Europe and Asia

• The role will provide opportunities to be directly involved with selling software

• Be able to demonstrate competence in an engineering or physics-based discipline.

• A detailed understanding of one or more of the following engineering and scientific applications:

- electrical machines

- experimental particle physics

- magnet design

• Provide technical pre-sales support to potential customers including:

- Technical pre-sales work with prospects

- Carry out benchmarks for potential clients

• Provide post sales technical support to users

• Represent Vector Fields at engineering conferences and exhibitions within Europe and Asia

• Carry out engineering consultancy work as required.



Educational Requirements



• First degree in electrical engineering or physics



Essential Knowledge and Experience



• Preferably experience of electromagnetic design software

• Good interpersonal skills, drive and ambition

• Expertise in one of the key engineering areas given above.



Salary



• Circa £25k
